What Weekend?

Where did the weekend go? I spent it working :(.

On the upside, got to put this together today:

Our crib set! We splurged on the bedding from Babies R Us since we got the crib for free from our kind friends. Aside from the car seat and stroller, we've spent very little on the baby's room so far. E's mom also sent us the crib mattress as a gift this past week and we were eager to put everything together. I also hung up a bunch of baby clothes and rearranged our little room to make it look less awkward with all the furniture jammed in there (full-size crib, changing table, storage cube, glider). I'm not going to know what to do with myself when it's finally done!

I tossed and turned all night and finally woke up at 5:20 this morning to let the dogs out. Thanks to the freaky weather, there was a substantial coating of wet snow on the ground and our big privacy hedge had collapsed over the walkway. So I wandered around the backyard until the dogs did their business, attempted to walk by the hedge branches, heard some strange tweeting from the birds that were presumably hiding out under there, and decided to back off. Poor birdies! I hope it melts by tomorrow - it's not even Halloween yet!

Then I went back to sleep for a while but achy hips combined with the weight of a sleeping dog (thanks Sam) made it pretty hard.

Tomorrow we're going to chill at home and pass out candy to the crazy children on our street. I don't want to go back to work!
