Watch Love
Yup, I bought this.
A shiny new Skagen watch, thanks to Rue La La. What can I say? The clean and simple Swedish design gets me every time. I may or may not already have a bounty of watches, but who doesn't need another watch? Exactly. Plus I don't have a silver one with a black face (just a blue face, and a silver face).
(Ihaveaproblem).
Sadly, this has been the highlight of my week. I'm on a lower-carb diet for my "impaired glucose" so I've been diligently tracking what I eat via my handy iPhone app (oh yeah! I got an iPhone! Puffy heart). It's a little depressing because my doctor told me at my 28ish-week check-up yesterday that, while I may not have to count carbs forever, I will always have to be mindful of what I eat, since I my mom has Type II diabetes. I am mindful of what I eat, but it sucks to be lectured like that, and to have a glass ceiling on the amount of cake I can consume in my lifetime. Especially cake with pudding in the middle!
Junior's doing well, although lugging him around has given me pretty constant back pain. I'm tempted to get one of those support band things, but I'm pretty sure it won't work since my pain is in the mid back and those are more for the lower back. He moves around all the time though and it's so reassuring. I can't believe there's only 11 weeks left! Pretty terrifying and exciting. Three months from now, our life is going to be completely upside down. But at least I'll know what time it is!
