27 Weeks
Feeling mighty large.
Why hello, awkwardity!
Not-so-awesome things that have happened in the past 7 days:
- Almost passing out from a non-supportive chair (aka my office chair and I, we had a falling out and are no longer on speaking terms).
- Begging for a fancy conference room chair. Did you know I have twice the volume of blood flow than usual, which means my face can turn red twice as fast when I'm embarrassed in front of my boss? I am the picture of health.
- Passing the glucose test (yay) BUT being told I didn't technically pass it, and having to go in for a nutritional consult tomorrow. Sulking is my forte.
- Secretly feeling so good when I waddle.
- Getting tired early at the super awesome fair we went to this weekend, and while out shopping. How am I going to survive Black Friday?! Skipping the 4 AM shopping would be heresy. Maybe E will push me around on one of those wheelchair things, which could potentially also double as a battering ram if shoppers become hostile.
- Iron supplements. I think they were created by Satan, and cleverly marketed by the types of smooth-talking people that you see in Love and Other Drugs (aka Jake Gyllenhaal).
-Realizing I have a 30-45 minute window of standing/activity. Any longer, and my hips start to ache like an old lady.
And begrudgingly, some things I'm not complaining about:
- A kicking baby that thumps when he gets dessert. He no longer feels like an alien!
- The plethora of baby clothes that our friends blessed us with. Junior will never wear the same hat twice.
- Sales on storage bins at Target so I can finally start cleaning out the nursery. Can I buy stock in these bins? I think I've bought several hundred this year alone.
- Unexpected decaf pumpkin spice lattes from kind people who don't need to be paid back. Big puffy heart!
- Pumpkin in general. This has nothing to do with pregnancy. Pumpkin is just that cool.
- Still being a couple pounds shy of 20 lb of weight gained. I'll take what I can get. And so far I've dodged the face-fat bullet!
In conclusion, I need peanut butter.
