Packing

Ugh. Packing.

Only 1 more day of work left before we leave on our Last Hoorah Vacation (cruise and visiting family) and I am feeling exhausted. I've been trying to pack a little at a time over the last 3 days but it's like a slow torture! Do I have enough clothes? Are these clothes warm enough for Alaskan temperatures? Am I forgetting something? Where did all this stuff come from??

So instead of working tonight, I passed out on the couch for an hour after dinner. It felt pretty glorious!

Things I am so so so looking forward to:

- Reeelaxing!!!
- Breakfast mornings. I love breakfast on vacation, maybe cause we rarely go out for it here at home. We already have bagels planned, and I have an old craving for biscuits and gravy that I think my lovely MIL will indulge for me.
- Shopppping! I'm going to try and buckle down and buy some baby stuff so we're not too slammed with purchasing things at the last minute.
- Dinner with old friends.
- Coffee downtown. Where all the cool kids go!
- Cooler weather! It's only in the 50s in Alaska right now. This summer has been pretty brutal, especially with our puny air conditioner.

I will miss the doggies though since we're going to be gone for 10 days! I don't think we've been away from Sam for longer than 2. He's a rascal. Last night when I was packing he decided to curl up in my half-packed carry-on and fall asleep. And he looked so cute with his giant head lolling out of the side that I couldn't bear to move him.

Back to work!
