The Short List
Happy almost birthday to me! Just bought this pretty Roccatella crossbody bag from MyHabit yesterday. It only took me 10 minutes of indecision to pull the trigger this time!
My birthday is a scant two days away and my wish list is pretty short this year. Okay, it's pretty short every year, which drives E crazy as he never knows what to get me. I love my birthday and any solid excuse to eat Coldstone ice cream (tonight woohoo!) but for some reason the gift part always stumps me. I did manage to eke out a few wants after some deep, hard pondering though.
The contenders this year:
Oatmeal whoopie pies from Wicked Whoopies in Maine. We tried them once before and we still talk about them. How sad are we? Deliciously sad, is the correct answer. Alas, at 26 dollars a dozen online with 14 dollars for shipping, they make my budget hurt and my heart yearn.
A Kindle. Or, a Kindle? I can't decide if I want this. It'd be great to have for reading on our vacation and lying around in bed (I love you Harry Potter, but your books are pretty honkin' big bedfellows), but I rarely buy books and I don't like the idea of having to rebuy the ones I already own. Yet I want something sleek and tech savvy too after the iPad and iPhone that E's acquired this summer. Plus I could buy a really cute case for it! But said case would be really expensive. And I don't need another reason to spend money. Indecision!!
What appears to be the mother of all pregnancy pillows to ease my old-lady aches and pains at night. Early pregnancy is weird. You feel the same, look mostly the same, yet get all ache-y by sleeping in the usual positions at night and have to get up at least once to go to the bathroom. I think it has to do with shifting joints and expanding uterii, but the bottom line is I want the promise of a deeply restful sleep that this pillow offers. That is, if it will fit on our bed. Goodbye husband!
Other than that I am asking for a Banana Republic gift card because I love me some shopping and am still slightly delusional that I will be able to find nice clothes from there that I can wear during/after this pregnancy.
Ooh, and ice cream of course!
